The next step - Sep 12th & 13th
Beginner to intermediate level, this is for you if you’ve been to the beginner camp or have a little bit of experience playing a groove. This is the next step for you.
THE PLAN:
Friday 11th Sep (7:30pm) - Welcome drinks - TBC
Saturday 12th Sep (10am - 5pm) - Day One of Camp
Sunday 13th Sep (10am - 5pm) - Day Two of Camp
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
For everyone, the following will be included:
Syllabus book
Sticks
Practice Pad and stand
Tea/Coffee making facilities
Light refreshments/snacks
Welcome drinks are optional on the Friday evening and then Camp starts at 10am on the Saturday.
You will have two days of playing, learning, performing and exploring various drumming concepts.
Areas covered will include but not be limited to: Groove development, syncopation, ghost notes, hi-hat control, co-ordination, notation, rudiments and more!
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?
Accommodation (please organise a hotel if you are not local to Essex)
Food* - some snacks will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. There is a kitchen and fridge on site to store your lunch.
*There are no shops within walking distance so make sure you bring food with you or are prepared to drive to the high street (7 mins away).

WHO’S THIS FOR?
If you’re not brand new to drumming but don’t feel you’re at the intermediate level yet, then this is for you.
You should have a good understanding and execution of the following:
Basic Rock Beat, Good Time keeping, Knowledge about Rudiments, Basic Fills, Reading/Notation experience
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Just yourself, a packed lunch and some ear plugs! :-)
I will provide practice pads, stands and sticks. But please do bring your own sticks if you have a preferred model you like to use.
You will want to bring some food with you and there will be snacks / refreshments on hand and full access to a kitchen over the two days. You can also use Deliveroo / Uber Eats if you want hot food and don’t want to bring a packed lunch.
TRAVEL:
Ingatestone station is a 5 minute drive from the Parish room that is our venue. Its in a quiet, peaceful area and is going to be ideal to really immerse ourselves in drumming and learning new things.
There is plenty of Parking in front of the room and nearby.
If you don’t drive and need to be picked up from the Station please let me know upon booking your place.
