WOMEN’S Intermediate DRUM CAMP - march 15th & 16th
Intermediate camp is here!!
The theme will be “Feel, Fills and Ostinatos!”
Come and meet like minded women and level up your drumming journey with this immersive weekend.
THE PLAN:
Friday 14th of March (7:30pm) - Welcome drinks - TBC
Saturday 15th of March (10am - 5pm) - Day One of Camp
Sunday 16th of March (10am - 5pm) - Day Two of Camp
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
For everyone, the following will be included:
Syllabus book
Sticks
Practice Pad and stand
Tea/Coffee making facilities
Light refreshments/snacks
Welcome drinks are optional on the Friday evening and then Camp starts at 10 am on the Saturday.
You will have two days of playing, learning, performing and exploring various drumming concepts.
Areas we’ll cover include, but aren’t limited to: creating a strong sense of feel - understanding what makes a beat feel great, expanding your fill vocabulary, and exploring ostinatos to see what new rhythms we can create.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?
Accommodation (please see below of recommended places to stay)
Food* - some snacks will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. There is a kitchen and fridge on site to store your lunch.
*There are no shops within walking distance so make sure you bring food with you or are prepared to drive to the high street (7 mins away).

WHO’S THIS FOR?
Drummers that are past the beginners stage and have a good grasp of the following:
Rock/funk/pop grooves
Reading drum notation
Timing
Fills
Familiar with rudiments
This is also for you if you are feeling stuck with your playing. If you are seeking inspiration and wanting to learn in a safe, positive and encouraging space.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Just yourself and a packed lunch.
I will provide practice pads, stands and sticks. But please do bring your own sticks if you have a preferred model you like to use.
You will want to bring some food with you and there will be snacks / refreshments on hand and full access to a kitchen over the two days. You can also use Deliveroo / Uber Eats if you want hot food and don’t want to bring a packed lunch.
TRAVEL:
Ingatestone station is a 5 minute drive from the Parish room that is our venue. Its in a quiet, peaceful area and is going to be ideal to really immerse ourselves in drumming and learning new things.
There is plenty of Parking in front of the room and nearby.
If you don’t drive and need to be picked up from the Station please let me know upon booking your place.

Ivy Hill Hotel - check online prices in advance or call to secure a standard double room for £135, simply call and tell them you’re doing Drum Camp (online prices fluctuate throughout the year).
